I bought my Xbox 360 2 years ago at Best Buy. You've only got 3 red lights .... I do not have the receipt for a new one?

No, you can not call to 1 800 4 My Xbox and tell them you have red lights. Then send a shipping box with postage paid for them on your original Xbox controller or hard drive without the front-saving cable. They bring the box to a UPS Store in their area and then wait another one or two weeks for a new or refurbished. Kinda sucks, but at least it is free and the new processor is better not to overheat more.
try to return it to Microsoft. If you are covered by the warranty, you must fix it. Hope you get it fixed
If you have purchased an additional warranty, you can not do it to Best Buy. Call Microsoft and see if it is covered. I thought I read that only covers the first year, when the red ring this year extended warranty. I could be wrong though.
Microsoft is the best at. On the other hand, if you send, and go buy a new play, when to wait a while and then again for a full refund after a couple of weeks!

If you are represented by red circles under Microsoft 3 years warranty, then you should contact Microsoft. Best Buy has nothing to do with it.
